Georgetown University Knights of Columbus Council 6375 is a college council of the Knights of Columbus at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The council was originally founded in 1972 and then re-instituted in 1990. As a Catholic service fraternal organization, the Knights of Columbus challenges men to live a life of active faith while serving others. In particular, as a college council, the Georgetown Knights exist as a place for college-aged Catholic men to grow in their Catholic faith by deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ, developing bonds of fraternity with each other, living the Gospel call to serve those in need, and engaging in the New Evangelization. The Knights are very active and engaged in the university community, particularly within Georgetown’s Catholic community, and stand as a pillar of the Catholic faith on campus.

As a council, the Knights undertake and participate in weekly service projects, spiritual discussions, and fraternal activities.  In addition, there are many events such as Lectures, House Masses, a semiannual retreat, and a variety of fun and relaxing fraternal events.

Council 6375 also hosts and sponsors a wide array of events and initiatives throughout the year including: weekly Eucharistic adoration holy hours and monthly 24-hour adoration, the McGivney Lecture Series, and the Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life. The council also works closely with the Georgetown Catholic Daughters, GU Catholic, and Campus Ministry.

Over the years, the council has won a number of awards for its superb activities and programing. Council 6375 has been awarded the Outstanding College Council of the Year three times, most recently in 2011. For organizing the annual Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life, the Georgetown Knights won the second place Pro-Life Activity Award out of over 13,000 councils at the 2011 Supreme Convention.
